Silver gray, earned over a century.
Authentic reclaimed barn boards with a natural silver-gray patina, cleaned, de-nailed and sorted by color so every board tells the same weathered story.
- Color: Natural silver gray patina
- Thickness: Commonly three-quarters to one inch
- Condition: De-nailed and wire-brushed

What it is, and why it matters.
Real gray barn wood gets its color from decades of sun, rain and wind breaking down the surface fibers and leaving a soft silver patina. That color is not a stain, which is why it looks so different from new boards finished to imitate it. Each plank carries nail holes, saw marks, checks and a subtle shift in tone from one end to the other.
We source old barn siding across Tennessee and the surrounding states, remove the nails and hardware, wire-brush loose grit and sort by shade, width and condition. Nashville designers and builders use it for accent walls, ceilings, shelving and cabinet fronts, because it adds age and warmth that new materials cannot match.
Four things done right.
Real patina
Sun and weather made the color, so it stays in the wood and does not wear off.
Sorted by shade
Boards are matched so a wall looks intentional, not random.
De-nailed and checked
Metal is removed and boards are scanned before they leave.
Honest character
Nail holes, checks and saw marks are part of the look, and we tell you what to expect.

Weathered Gray Barn Wood: common questions
Will gray barn wood stay gray?
Yes. The color comes from decades of weathering, and a clear matte sealer protects it without changing it much. Indoors it holds its tone for decades.
Is real gray barn wood safe to install indoors?
Properly cleaned, de-nailed and dried boards are widely used indoors. We clean and dry material for interior use and tell you when a board is best kept outdoors.
