Your size, cut from wood with a past.
In-shop milling of reclaimed lumber: planing, ripping, tongue-and-groove, shiplap, bevels and cut-to-size, with metal scanned before any blade touches a board.
- Services: Planing, ripping, T&G, shiplap, profiles
- Metal check: Scanned before milling
- Input: Our wood or yours

What it is, and why it matters.
Reclaimed wood is unpredictable, which is why milling it takes care. Hidden nails, bolts and buried grit can ruin knives and ruin boards, so we scan every piece for metal and set up cuts deliberately, to save as much character as possible.
Our milling service covers planing and skip planing, ripping to width, tongue-and-groove, shiplap, edge profiles and cutting to length. Nashville builders, cabinetmakers and homeowners bring us reclaimed lumber, or buy from our yard and have it milled, and we explain yield and what each cut will reveal.

Custom Milling and Planing: common questions
Can you mill lumber I bring in?
Yes, after a metal scan and an inspection. We tell you what we can do and what the yield will be before we start.
Why does reclaimed lumber lose so much when milled?
Planing removes the aged surface and sometimes badly checked or damaged sections, so yield is often fifty to eighty percent of the original. We give you an estimate up front.
How do I get a price for custom milling and planing?
Fill in the form or call or text 615-357-7797, ideally with photos and measurements. We confirm what is involved and send a written price.
Ready to talk about custom milling and planing?
Photos and measurements, or a sample visit, and a written price. A real person calls back, usually the same day.
