Saw marks, left exactly as they are.
Reclaimed boards with their original rough-sawn faces, circular and band-saw marks intact, for walls, ceilings and projects where texture is the point.
- Surface: Original circular or band-saw marks
- Thickness: Varies by board, sorted before sale
- Prep: De-nailed and brushed

What it is, and why it matters.
Before planers were common, boards came straight off the sawmill with visible blade marks: arcs from circular saws, straight ladder lines from band saws. That surface catches light and shadow in a way a smooth board never will, and it tells you how the wood was made.
We keep the original faces on boards we sort as rough-sawn, brush off loose debris and remove hardware. In Nashville homes and restaurants, rough-sawn boards turn plain walls into textured backdrops and make ceilings feel handmade. We also help you pick the right thickness for your fastening and use.
Four things done right.
Original saw marks
The texture comes from the mill, not a router bit.
Sorted for thickness
Boards are grouped so installs go flat.
Light sealing option
A matte seal protects without hiding the surface.
Honest about variation
We explain the thickness and width variance you will see.

Rough-Sawn Reclaimed Boards: common questions
Is rough-sawn wood splintery?
It can be on the raw face. We brush boards and can seal them, which reduces splinters, but we do not recommend rough faces for places people will brush against often.
Can rough-sawn boards be planed later?
Yes, but you lose the saw marks, which is the point. We can plane one face or both in our shop if you change your mind.
How do I get a price for rough-sawn reclaimed boards?
Fill in the form or call or text 615-357-7797, ideally with photos and measurements. We confirm what is involved and send a written price.
Ready to talk about rough-sawn reclaimed boards?
Photos and measurements, or a sample visit, and a written price. A real person calls back, usually the same day.
